(Toronto) The Ontario Council of Education Workers (OCEW) represents:

- Educational Resource Facilitators of Peel
- Essex & Kent Counties Skilled Trades Council
- Laborers International Union of North America, Local 837
- Maintenance and Construction Skilled Trades Council
- Ontario Public Service Employees Union – Support Staff and ESL Teachers
The OCEW has met with the provincial government and Council of Trustees Association on twelve occasions over the past year with very little progress. All unions have been without a contract since August 31st, 2014.
The government and the Council of Trustees Association have stalled negotiations and have shown no interest in serious collective bargaining. As a result, today the OCEW filed for conciliation.
