The Festive Season is Here!

With the festive season upon us, let’s take a bit of time for reflection. OPSEU members are facing attacks on their rights from many fronts. Together, we are on the threshold of another very demanding year.

Yet even in the face of challenge, we have a lot to be thankful for.

We thank OPSEU’s members who, each and every day, go above and beyond to deliver high quality public services to the people of Ontario. We thank their families for supporting them in the often difficult and dangerous work they do.

We thank OPSEU’s staff for their commitment and expertise.

We remain grateful to all of OPSEU’s elected leaders, who volunteer untold hours, in the spirit of solidarity and social justice, to keep us all moving forward. We are thankful to have each other’s trust and support, as together we navigate this great union through a seemingly endless sea of demands and hazards.

We must never lose track of how fortunate we truly are to be supported by friends and family. And we remain thankful for the opportunity to do work that makes a difference in peoples’ lives.

This festive season, rejoice in all that is good. Surround yourself with loved ones. Take time for yourselves. Rest and recharge.

We wish everyone peace, health and happiness for 2015. We truly appreciate all that you do for OPSEU and for Ontario.
