The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) is a Crown corporation of the Ontario government which purchases and retails beverage alcohol through more than 660 retail stores and some 210 agency stores. It is the proven safest, most cost-effective, convenient and socially responsible way to sell alcohol. Net income from LCBO sales goes to the province in the form of an annual dividend to help pay for vital public services, including health care, education and infrastructure.
OPSEU/SEFPO represents more than 8,000 workers at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) divided among 42 locals. Every, single year, the LCBO hands over a dividend well in excess of $2 billion to the Ontario government to pay for public services, including hospitals, schools and infrastructure.
