October Spotlight: Daniel Richer dit Laflèche

In absence of this year’s conference, the Provincial Francophone Committee (PFC) will be hosting a series of monthly virtual evening events throughout the Fall. They are open to all OPSEU/SEFPO members and their family and friends. These are special occasions to celebrate our language and culture while being entertained by Franco-Ontarian artists… en français!

Francophones and francophiles alike will be delighted by the quality of selected artists.  It will be an occasion to participate with all members of your family; young and old.

This month, join OPSEU/SEFPO’s PFC in a family-friendly evening of Halloween-themed storytelling with Daniel Richer dit Laflèche! It will be held on Wednesday, October 20th  from 7pm to 8:30pm.

October Spotlight: Daniel Richer dit Laflèche (ages 7+)

Who doesn’t love those small moments that make us laugh, cry, and frightened because they make us feel alive?

OPSEU/SEFPO’s Provincial Francophone Committee is hosting an evening where fear and surprises interlace themselves in a night where ghosts and vampires come to visit us, without hiding!

“I am a Werewolf and on full-moon nights, best I stay home. So to pass the time, I invite you to a sharing of stories that will make your hair stand on-end: BOO!”

You may remember Daniel Richer dit Lafèche from past OPSEU/SEFPO Francophone Conferences when he helped with the opening and closing of the events.

As a storyteller, Daniel made two national tours that saw him travel Canada from coast to coast.  He has worked with school aged students to those in post-secondary.  He has presented at corporate galas and to smaller, more intimate settings like family gatherings by the fire.

Daniel is Wabanakis.  Having been a town crier for 39, years, he has acquired quite an international reputation having also worked in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, France and the United States.  He has received many awards at the Ontario, North American, and International Champion levels as well as the title of the World Most Elegant Town Crier. Daniel was also chosen to be Master of Ceremonies at the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games. For more information on Daniel: https://www.danielricher.com/
