AMHS clients, former frontline workers decry cuts

Global News reports that a group of clients and former frontline workers from Addiction and Mental Health Services – Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (AMHS-KFLA) are extremely worried about the layoffs that are continuing to happen at the agency.

“Recently, I lost my mental health services and am very distressed about it,” says one woman who relied on those services.

“The changes don’t seem to have been founded on what the community needs, more on financial concerns,” says a former psychotherapist at the agency.
