2011 OPSEU Video Competition Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the second annual OPSEU Video Contest. Watch the winning videos. 

Overall contest winner and Region 5 1st place winner

John Cho from Local 569, an Occupational Therapist at St. John's Rehab Hospital, submitted a video called “What would we do?” See what the world would be like without public services.


Region 3 1st place regional award winner

Heather Iviney from Local 302 lives in Oshawa. Her video “Are we worth it” is a satirical spoof of the Old Spice commercial, which includes OPSEU snapshots and takes on the Ontario Liberals.

Region 4  1st place regional award winner

Jim Puckalo from Local 468 submitted “Before and after”: a comic piece addressing job cuts.

Cory Laffin, a Toronto resident, made a video with his eight year old child called “Invest In Your Mind-Support Your Local library“

 

3rd place regional award winner

James Forrester from Local 535 created a video of the info picket at the AGO on May 19, 2010.

 

Region 6 1st place regional award winner

Shelby Dunahee from Local 677 Unit 2 in Thunder Bay submitted a video about the NOSM bargaining.
