The Honourable Monique Smith, Minister of Tourism:
I am very concerned about changes being made to Upper Canada
Village with the help of Ontario government funding.
The rotating closure of buildings, the threat of theft or
vandalism to valuable historic artifacts, the elimination of costumed
interpreters and the growing commercialization of the site threaten the
Village's heritage and educational mandates.
Please act at once to reverse these destructive changes to
this much-loved and respected living history museum.
