In 1995, Mike Harris took away OPS employees’ right to arbitration on classification issues. That’s why there is a backlog of more than 8,000 OPS classification grievances. And it’s why mediation failed to fix the problem.

There is a solution. It’s time for the government to change the law to restore arbitration for OPS classification grievances.
