OPSEU Information Technology Working Group

Meeting

Monday, June 11, 2001 - 5:30 PM
OPSEU Queen’s Park Office
525 University Avenue, 7th Floor
(North of Dundas Street)

A Working Group of information technology (IT) professionals and Systems Officers has been established by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union. Systems Officers have distinct issues and problems that can be pursued in our collective bargaining environment. Contracting out, privatisation, infrastructure renewal, classification and compensation are some of the issues that this IT Working Group wishes to pursue. We are now looking to establish mechanisms where these problems can be addressed in the Ontario Public Service.

To that end, we have established this Working Group to address these issues, as they relate to Systems Officers in the OPSEU bargaining unit.

The next meeting of this group, described above, will address these problems. It is essential that we have representation from all Ministries and all clusters. That makes our work and research more effective.

We hope that you can attend this meeting. Please let us know if you plan to attend.

For more information, please call Mustafa Cicekci at (416) 229-2733.
