By now Systems Officers will have received a letter from their Ministry advising whether or not the employee has been reclassified. OPSEU is negotiating with the Employer to create a dispute resolution mechanism to deal with complaints of systems officers who think they are still not properly classified. This process will include a time frame for filing complaints that will begin with the date employees receive notification from the Union. We hope to have this in place as soon as possible. In the meantime, systems officers who think they are improperly classified should request of their manager a copy of their updated job description, or the job description that formed the basis of the evaluation for their position, and compare it with the class standard. And, since the dispute resolution process under negotiation is not yet in place, members who think they are still improperly classified should not refrain from filing an individual grievance with their immediate supervisor | ||
