Bargaining news from
your OPSEU Corrections bargaining team in the Ontario Public Service

Team members will be calling
Bargaining team members will be in
touch with local executive members in the very near future to
discuss essential service agreements. It is imperative that local
contacts make themselves available to facilitate this process.
Take part in naming this update!
Despite valiant efforts by the team
to come up with a catchy handle for this bulletin (Lock Table
Talk was quickly discarded), no one could agree on a title. So
it is up to you!
The team is holding a “Name the
Update” contest, and it is open to all members of the corrections
division. The winner will receive an OPSEU Corrections Division
jacket.
Send your suggestions via e-mail to
Don Ford at OPSEU Head Office (dford@opseu.org). The winner will be
picked based on originality, clarity and good taste. The decision of
the judges (namely, the Corrections bargaining team) will be final.
The contest closes on Oct. 1.

Last week’s update incorrectly
identified Mark Kotanen as the chair of the corrections team and
Barry Scanlon as the vice-chair. Under the new procedures, Mark
Kotanen is the corrections member on the central team. Barry Scanlon
is the corrections team chair and Dave Graves is the vice chair.

this round of bargaining. If you don’t read it here, you can't be
sure it's true. Don’t rely on gossip and rumours. We will provide
the facts.
