FROM OPSEU TO EVES:
Thousands of OPSEU members and our allies in the labour movement turned up to greet new Premier Ernie Eves on April 15 in Toronto. Twin marches up Bay St. and another up University Ave. converged on Queen's Park. There, a sit-down strike blockaded a major traffic intersection for two hours as police looked on. Eves received an impromptu visit from Leah Casselman and the chairs of our OPS bargaining teams. A strong, clear message was sent to the premier on a day to remember in OPSEU history.
