Bargaining Teams demand “final” offer
The Central/Unified Bargaining Team and the Corrections Bargaining Team have now asked the employer to provide a “final” offer.
After two and one-half weeks of seeing the employer every day, not one of our demands has been addressed! Conciliation has not accomplished anything and both union teams are frustrated at the lack of true bargaining.
The employer now has 48 hours to produce their “final” offer. The bargaining teams will review the offer and the offer will be presented for the members to vote on.
All OPS presidents or highest ranking officers will meet in Toronto with the bargaining teams on Saturday, May 14. After May 14, local information meetings will be scheduled across the province to explain the offer.
We will print highlights of the employer’s “final” offer in the next issue of The Source. It will also be available on the OPSEU website at www.opseu.org
