  Ontario Public Service: Bargaining 2004/2005

No More Cuts UPDATE

OPSEU Unified Table Opening Position

Your Unified Bargaining Team has tabled with the employer seven major demands that you asked to be addressed in this round of bargaining. Here are the highlights of those demands:

1. General wage increase that addresses the losses to inflation, settlement trends and the appropriate value of the work performed.

2. Convert the “max plus merit” to an actual step on the wage grid and all employees progress to the max of their classification.

3. Provide more flexible work arrangements for employees and eliminate Schedule 6.

4. Increase and standardize meal allowance.

5. Address workload issues.

6. Team has reserved the right to table specific special case adjustments.

7. Delete Appendices that are no longer relevant e.g. Schedule 5 employees.

Your Unified Team has reserved the right to table additional proposals during negotiations. They will table specific language on these issues once the Employer agrees to the concept of each proposal.
