June 24, 2005 Clarification of Communications Operators grid placement (Ministry of Health and Long Term Care).

Communications Operators in the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (Ambulance Dispatch) have received clarification on the way their grid placement will work under the new contract.

CACC Operators will be placed on the identical grid step on the new pay grid. For example a Communications Operator at the current Max + Merit step will be placed on the new grid at the Max + Merit step. We also found and fixed a problem with the rate of pay at Step 6 [the max + merit step]. That rate will be adjusted upward to reflect a 3 per cent differential between Step 5 and 6.
