November 27th Rally
Dundas Square

Keep your promises, Dalton -- More than 2,000 OPSEU members joined 3,000 members of other unions at the Ontario Federation of Labour rally at Queen's Park Nov. 27. Led by a "Dalton" puppet, OPSEU members gathered at the Dundas Square near the Eaton Centre and marched 10 blocks to the legislature.

OPSEU President Leah Casselman, the first union leader to address the rally, told the crowd that the Liberals have failed to rebuild public service, the key promise of their 2003 election campaign. The government has also failed to make good on its promise to restore fair labour laws after eight years of pro-management rules enacted by the Harris Tories.
