On April 24, the Rana Plaza building in Dakha, Bangladesh collapsed, killing
hundreds of workers and injuring over 1,000. To date, almost 400 garment workers
have been killed and many more are still missing. Although the building owner
has been arrested, Canadian organizations are demanding that Loblaws, Walmart
and others who source from Bangladesh come clean on what they know and take
concrete steps to make sure this kind of tragedy never happens again
