Don't forget Burma - Campaign for Free Burma forum planned

WHO: Canadian Campaign for Free Burma (CC4FB)

WHAT: Community Forum

WHEN: Feb. 2 ,  1:00 P.M.

WHERE: 340 Gerrard St. E., Toronto

CC4FB - We want to take this opportunity to thank you for expressing an ongoing interest in the events in Burma and to invite you to attend our first Community Forum. A Core Group of dedicated volunteers has worked diligently to help organize several successful events since our inception, which you no doubt attended or read about. We have attempted to keep you advised of events through emails of news coming
out of Burma and elsewhere, as well as keeping you updated through our website: www.canadiancampaignforfreeburma.org  .

The main theme for the afternoon will be a discussion of our "Spring Campaign". We are planning on organizing a Pan Canadian and Global Event as a 6 month commemoration of the marches and protests this past September. Our goal is to put Burma back on the front burner where it belongs. The working title is: DON'T FORGET BURMA.

One idea we are considering as part of the Spring Campaign is a Global Marathon as part of a worldwide protest of the Olympics in China. We will try to co-ordinate our actions with a rumoured spring march by the monks in Burma.

The Community Forum will be an opportunity for us to give you an update on other areas we have been working in, where we are going, ways that you can help and groups you can join as outlined in our Mission Statement.

Pass this on -  RSVP by January 30, 2008.

There's lots to do and we need your ideas and bodies to help us do it all!
