Labour Day Parade 2008:
"Mobilize to Organize"

flyer
We invite all OPSEU members and their families and friends to the annual
Labour Day Parade.
Labour Day is our day. Our day to be proud of our unions, proud of OPSEU and proud of the work that we do as union activists and as public sector workers.
It is our day to march together, to celebrate, to have fun.
The theme for this year's parade is “Mobilize to Organize”. It promotes the importance of organizing more working people into unions. For OPSEU it highlights our efforts and successes to organize more workers in the public sector particularly the part-time workers in the colleges.
Labour Day is the last day of the CNE. For over 100 years, the Toronto Labour Day parade marches into the Exhibition at the Dufferin Gates – for free.
There will be music, refreshments and great company.
OPSEU members receive an environmentally-friendly water
bottle and a hat while quantities last. Locals with the largest turnout receive an award; one for a large local, one
for a small local.
