Come out for two days of celebrations: Sunday Aug. 31 at Hamilton's Dundurn park, and Monday Sept. 1 at the Labour Day Parade and family picnic.

NOTE: For special needs assistance (ie. ride in parade instead of walking), please contact Ed Faulknor, Chair, South West Area Council @ 905-385-2142.

Event 1: Picnic

Sunday, Aug. 31: Dundurn Park, Hamilton, 12:00-5:00 p.m.

Activities:

  • Poster Making,

  • Face Painting for Children,

  • Labour Community Services / United Way Barbecue

Music by: Fellow Worker & Johnny Hertz

Special Appearance by: Hamilton Bulldog’s Bruiser

Event 2: Parade & Picnic

Monday, Sept. 1: Labour Day Parade/Family Picnic

OPSEU members and guests will be lining up at 9:30 a.m. at the corner of Ray and York, Hamilton.

Parade to start at 10:30 a.m., picnic to follow at Dundurn Park

  • Free barbecue (hamburgers, hotdogs, sausages, pop)

  • t-shirts (first come basis)

  • prizes for kids and adults

  • face painting

  • and fun, fun, fun!
