In Memory of Ev Sammons

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our OPSEU Sister, Ev Sammons, OPSEU’s First Vice - President/Treasurer in the early 1980’s.  Sister Sammons passed away Oct 30, 2009 after a courageous battle with liver cancer.

Ev had retired from her career working in the Mental Health field.   At her request, a quiet family service was held in celebration Ev’s life.

Ev was a long time activist.  She was an Executive Board member who worked hard to promote women within OPSEU.  Ev also devoted much of her time and spirit to improving the community image of the union.
