OPSEU 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament: Another Great
Success!
January 28, 2011 OPSEU Enterprises
presented the proceeds from the 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament to the Live
and Let Live Fund. The $18,436.59 donation will be used to combat HIV/AIDS in
African nations as well as here in Canada.
OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas, 1st
Vice-President/Treasurer Patty Rout, Executive Board Members Jennifer Giroux,
Nancy Pridham, Lynn Orzel and Sandra Snider, along with Maurice Gabay and Peter
Hammond were on hand for the presentation.
The 3rd Annual Charity Tournament is
scheduled for May 30, 2011 at the Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club.
We thank everyone who participated for making
this event such a huge success.

Early bird golf draw winner announced

Michael Prosdocimi, a member of Local
5107’s Golf Team has won the OPSEU Enterprises early bird golf draw,
with a prize of four matching golf bags.

December 17, 2009 On November 23, 2009 OPSEU
presented the proceeds from the 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament
to the Live and Let Live Fund. OPSEU President Warren (Smokey)
Thomas, 1st Vice-President/Treasurer Patty Rout, Executive Board
Members Lynn Orzel and Jen Giroux, along with David Lalonde, Joanne
Sheehan, Mary Cory, Doris Middleton, Brenda Wall and Rob Kinnear
were on hand for the presentation.
A cheque in the amount of $16,884.33 was presented
to the Live and Let Live Fund, money that will be used to combat
HIV/AIDS in African nations as well as here in Canada.
The Second Annual tournament is scheduled for June
7, 2010. It will held once again at the Meadowbrook Golf & Country
Club in Gormley, Ontario, just east of Toronto.
We thank everyone who participated for making this
event such a huge success.
