July 26, 2012

(OTTAWA) – Members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union will demonstrate outside Premier Dalton McGuinty’s constituency office on Friday July 27 in opposition to the government’s plans to dramatically modify the pension plans of public sector workers. Under proposals put forward by the Liberal government, employees of the Ontario Public Service, LCBO, municipalities and those who work in community colleges among others, will lose considerable control over the deferred income their members contribute in retirement savings.
