OPSEU Local 380 at Community Living Huntsville (CLH) has
reached a tentative agreement, narrowly avoiding a strike deadline of 12:01
a.m. on December 22.
"Workers at Community Living Huntsville were pushed right up to their strike
deadline in negotiations with this employer," said OPSEU President, Warren
(Smokey) Thomas. "Thanks to all of the community members who showed
solidarity during this process. Investing in workers means investing in the
community."
"Our team recommends that the members vote in favour of this agreement,"
said Trudi Belrose, Bargaining Team Chair for Local 380. "We are pleased to
have good news so close to the holidays.”
OPSEU Local 380 has tentatively scheduled a ratification vote for Wednesday,
January 4, 2012.
Developmental Services workers
