Information picket planned as Renaissance Homes open-custody youth facility to close

WINDSOR: After 28 years providing service, Renaissance Homes Windsor will lose its contract with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services..

Renaissance is a 10-bed co-ed facility. Effective Sept. 30, 2008, the open custody facility for youth 12-17 years of age will close with funding for spaces to go to other facilities. Boys will stay in Windsor – girls will be moved to London.

An information picket will be held to draw public attention to this change:

When: Friday July 25 -- 12:15 until 1:15 p.m.

Where:  830 Ouellette Avenue – Windsor
