OPSEU college faculty
rally tomorrow for quality education
TORONTO: OPSEU members will
rally tomorrow Thursday, March 16, 2006 for quality education
in Ontario’s 24 colleges.
When: 11:00 a.m. Thursday,
March 16
Where: Dundas Square (Yonge
and Dundas Streets, Toronto)
Speakers include:
· Nancy Pridham, OPSEU
regional vice-president
· John Cartwright, Toronto and York Region Labour Council
· Terry Downey, Ontario Federation of Labour
· Ted Montgomery, chair, college faculty bargaining team
· Paddy Musson, chair, college faculty division of OPSEU

Participants will march up Bay
Street to the Ministry of Colleges where another rally will be
held.
When: 12:30 p.m.

The 9,100 faculty at Ontario’s
24 Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology have been on strike
since March 7 due to the refusal of the colleges to bargain
quality education improvements. No new negotiations are
scheduled.
