OPSEU donates $50,000 to assist the fight against HIV/AIDS

TORONTO - The Ontario Public Service Employees Union has donated $50,000 to the Stephen Lewis Foundation as part of its standing commitment to help fight HIV/AIDS in Africa.

OPSEU President Leah Casselman said that there will be additional donations to the Foundation as a direct result of fundraising efforts by her members. "Our members have worked tirelessly to raise money for this ongoing struggle," Casselman said. "I am proud that their efforts will benefit people whose lives are being destroyed by this disease."

The OPSEU Live and Let Live Fund exists to support agencies fighting the ravages of HIV/AIDS both in Africa and at home. Learn more about the OPSEU initiative at:
