Hospital professionals vote OPSEU
STRATFORD - Part-time professional paramedical staff at the Stratford General Hospital have voted overwhelmingly in favour of joining OPSEU in a vote held here July 30.
"The part-time staff wanted to make a clear statement that OPSEU is the union of choice for hospital professionals," said Tracey Mussett, Organizing Representative. "We hope that when the Stratford Hospital merger with other area hospitals is finalized, their colleagues in those facilities will choose OPSEU as well."
The Stratford General Hospital is in the process of merging with hospitals in St. Marys, Seaforth and Clinton. It is expected that the merger will be finalized this Fall.
OPSEU represents over 8,000 hospital professionals across the province.
