April 28, 2003 Public forum in Toronto to talk about mental health services Toronto – The union representing employees at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) will sponsor a community forum on mental health services in the city:
“The talk from the provincial government and hospital administrators is ‘client-centred care’ and a ‘seamless continuum of care’ and the reality has been waiting lists and program cuts,” said Nancy Pridham, president, Local 500 of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU). Admission to the forum is free. The public is welcome. Speakers include:
The moderator is Rosario Marchese, NDP MPP, Trinity-Spadina. In November, OPSEU released a report, Reality: Ontario’s Mental Health Care System Isn’t Working.
