NOTICE OF NEWS CONFERENCE

Union lifts blackout to boost drive to settlement

TORONTO - The union representing striking Ontario Public Service employees is lifting the media blackout on contract talks in a bid to bring about a quick settlement.

Leah Casselman, president of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, will host a news conference today to discuss outstanding issues.

Date: TODAY, April 23, 2002

Time: 1:00 p.m.

Place: Media studio, Main Legislative Building, Queen’s Park, Toronto
