"Road user safety" bill leads to an ugly future

TORONTO – Bill 137, the Road User Customer Service Act, opens the door to a wide range of ugly options.

Ontario Public Service Employees Union President Leah Casselman will outline the effect of the legislation at a Media conference:

Wednesday, January 17
1 p.m.
Media Centre, Queen’s Park

Joining Casselman at the press conference will be a number of driver examiners who administer road tests to ensure that the drivers on Ontario’s roads have the skill required to control their vehicles.

Casselman will draw on the experience in other jurisdictions to explain the hidden dangers in privatizing driver testing and other aspects of the Ministry of Transportation’s regulatory and enforcement responsibilities.
