The Liquor Board Employees Division has established a Divisional
Emergency Fund (DEF) to provide assistance to members who are experiencing an
immediate, severe and temporary situation due to an emergency. Financial
assistance is based on need, duration and available funds .

LBED continues the process for pay equity compliance
October 1, 2010 LBED Pay Equity Committee
moves forward with the employer to ensure the LBCO is pay equity compliant.
Although the process has been on going since 2007, the first joint
newsletter was sent out to the LCBO employees early September.

A Joint Job Evaluation Committee (JJEC)
has been established to evaluate and compare job classes. JJEC has
identified a representative random sampling of employees from all bargaining
unit positions to complete a job information questionnaire (JIQ). Meeting
dates have been established for the questionnaire completion.

April 15, 2008: Three sets of 2007 Provincial H&S Minutes
posted without employer sign-off--After months of trying to finalize minutes of
three 2007 Provincial Health and Safety Committee Meetings, the Provincial
Health and Safety Committee finally told the employer that they had until April
15th to propose any edits prior to the minutes simply being released by the
union. The employer states that they "cannot sign off old minutes if their
committee has changed." However, only SOME of their committee has changed,
and.....well can't they talk? more...
