On September 14, Egale Canada held its
4th annual gala event. OPSEU's Rainbow Alliance was in
attendance, along with over 400 other compassionate and
caring individuals representing the true diversity of
the LGBT Community: politicians, labour activists,
business people and students.
For one night, all were united in support of a vitally
important cause—creating safe spaces for our youth. All
proceeds from the event will support Egale’s OUTSHINE:
Canada’s First National Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA)
Summit for secondary school students taking place in
Toronto in May 2013.
