June is Pride Month. OPSEU’s Rainbow Alliance is
once again pleased to support and/or participate in a series of 2012
Pride events scheduled throughout the province! These celebrations
encourage everyone to embrace each other’s differences. It is also an
opportunity for increased education; one that calls for greater
acceptance and tolerance. Everyone has a right to be treated equally
and with dignity.

The message from our 2011 theme continues to have its
impact because cuts to much needed services have become more prevalent.
As a result, we see a general public that is more compliant with the
agenda to ‘reduce the deficit’ at all costs. Unfortunately, this
leaves people who rely on these services vulnerable.
With the warmer weather upon us, the Rainbow
Alliance is calling on ALL members, staff and allies to take a stand.
Whether an LGBTTIQQ2S member, family, friend or ally, we ask you to JOIN
US as we prove to the people of Ontario that OPSEU is an organization
dedicated to promoting and achieving equality and fairness for all.
Come out and show your pride!
