2012 OPSEU Human Rights Conference
Welcome!
The 2012 OPSEU Human Rights Conference, “Social Change through Social Media”
is scheduled to take place at the Sheraton Parkway North in Richmond Hill on
November 16-18.
The goal of the conference is to integrate human rights advocacy and social
media by combining a focus on practical advocacy skills for using social
media with discussion on key human rights issues. By bringing together
diverse OPSEU members from across the province, we hope to develop
innovative approaches to social media and human rights as well as practical
strategies for action in the workplace and community.
The conference will consist of panel discussions, plenaries, workshops,
hands-on use of social media and much more.
The 2012 conference is hosted by the Aboriginal Circle, the Disability
Rights Caucus, the Francophone Caucus, the Provincial Human Rights
Committee, the Provincial Young Worker’s Committee, the Rainbow Alliance and
the Workers of Colour Caucus.
