Another chance to make tobacco ties

Volunteers from OPSEU, TD Bank, and Tap Resources gathered June 28, 2012 to assemble 10,000 tobacco ties in preparation for the Assembly First Nation (AFN) Annual General Assembly (AGA) Memorial Service and Procession.

Each tobacco tie will represent a warrior that fought in the War of 1812. The ties will be placed in the sacred fire at Historical Fort York in a ceremony to honour the warriors on July 16, 2012.

More tobacco ties are needed so you have another opportunity to participate:
