OPSEU Starts
"Save the MNR" Campaign

Local News Radio - www.am920.ca

The Ministry of Natural Resources is in dire straits due to cutbacks according to OPSEU.

The union has mounted a campaign they call 'Save the MNR'.

Owen Sound area OPSEU local president Paul Johnstone cites conservation officers as an example.

He says says it's gotten to the point where they're spending time in their offices because they don't have enough money for gas for their patrol vehicles.

Johnstone says not having the C-O's properly funded means its open season for poachers.
