OPSECAAT van creating awareness of
college part-timers' issues in London
The quest to build
support for the rights of part-time college workers continues.
The OPSECAAT van
was in London today, to raise awareness of the situation of
college part time workers, who do not enjoy the right to bargain
collectively.
In the morning of
Aug. 22, OPSECAAT President Roger Couvrette and Vice-President
Candy Lindsay visited the constituency offices of London-area
MPPs Colleges Minister Chris Bentley, and MPPs Khalil Ramal and
Deb Matthews.
Couvrette and
Lindsay also stopped in at Fanshawe College, visiting the
offices of the OPSEU academic and support locals.
