Join us for our first Annual General Meeting!
What is it all about?
The first annual general
meeting of OPSECAAT brings together part-time and sessional faculty and
support staff from across Ontario. The meeting will be held Saturday,
April 21st at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto. Attending this inaugural
meeting will give you an opportunity to represent your college, meet
fellow part-time workers, discuss the part-time college workers
campaign, vote for elected membership positions and make changes to your
constitution.
Held concurrently with
OPSEU's annual convention, it is an exciting opportunity for elected
part-time delegates to see a wide variety of events and to meet people
from across the province that gather each year at the Sheraton Centre
for the AGM .
Who should attend?
The OPSECAAT constitution
allows for two delegates from each college to attend the annual meeting.
One part-time or sessional faculty and one part-time support staff from
each college may attend. Current OPSECAAT executive members are
delegates in their own right for the AGM.
Are there any costs?
No. The costs of
attending including hotel accommodation (if eligible), meals and travel
expenses are covered by OPSECAAT.
How do I register?
Most colleges will be
holding local OPSECAAT membership meetings to elect your college's
OPSECAAT Coordinating Committee and delegates to the AGM. If you don't
hear about this important meeting soon or for information on how to be
nominated to attend, email us at
collegeworkers@opseu.org or call 1-866-811-7274.
