OPSECAAT shows its colours at photo-op event with Minister Jim Watson

July 18, 2007 Today the OPSECAAT van visited a Liberal government event in West Toronto. Jim Watson, Minister of Health Promotion, was at a supermarket at Dundas St. and Scarlett Road for an event.

Candy Lindsay, Vice-president of OPSECAAT was there with college workers to discuss the need to change the law to allow college workers to join a union.

Part -time college workers are letting cabinet ministers and MPPs know that they should have the right to bargain collectively, as any other workers.

This week Lindsay has also met with MPP Jeff Leal, in Peterborough, and Minister of Health, George Smitherman, in Weston.
