Stop Bullying! Think Pink!

OPSEU Members in workplaces across Ontario will be spreading the
message today BULLYING STOPS HERE on National Pink Shirt Day. “Bullying is a
major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, and over the Internet” says
Jane Kaija, President Local 668 and Rachelle Lacoste, President Local 666.
Members are encouraged to wear something pink to symbolize that we as a society
will not tolerate bullying anywhere. The Community Services
Division represents more than 11,500 members who work in
Developmental Services, Children’s Aid Societies, Children’s Mental Health
Centres, Children’s Treatment Centres, Developmental Service Agencies, Women’s
Shelters, Daycares, Youth Corrections and more.
Our members provide services in diverse
settings such as: day treatment programs, group homes, youth custody settings,
early years centres and child care centres, women’s shelters, client’s homes,
respite programs, court services, supervised access centres, community outreach
programs, and schools among other work environments.
