Who we are / What we do

The Health Care Support Division (HCSD) includes Locals and Units whose members are employed as Health Care Support workers in hospitals and other BPS facilities.

Aims and Purposes

• to develop and promote demands for bargaining;

• to coordinate Union activities on a Sectoral Divisional basis; and

• to participate with other Union groups to promote and support the aims, purposes and goals of the Union

Mandate

STRONG CONTRACTS

• Investigate Central Bargaining

• Recognition for all members in Health Care Support, Sector 11

• Educate and promote issues on Health Care

• Review all collective agreements and develop strong language for bargaining

• Network with Health Care Divisional Council and other committees

The Division covers approximately 23 Locals and Units in Public Hospitals, Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) and Public Health Units
