North East CCAC
November 8, 2007 The board of the North East
CCAC has made the decision not to divest the direct service provider staff.
North East CCAC has the largest number of direct service providers,
approximately 106 employees, which are now all OPSEU members.
“This comes as a great relief for these members who
have been facing the threat of divestment for the last nine years, said Lois
Boggs, chair of OPSEU’s Community Health Care Professionals Division. “We
hope that the other two CCACs that also employ direct service providers,
which are all OPSEU members, will follow the North East CCAC lead.”
