We have a deal!

On September 14th at 7:35pm after 13 days of bargaining, your team has achieved a negotiated settlement on our collective agreement.

Your solidarity and the 98 per cent strike mandate gave the team the strength needed to force the employer to remove their tabled concessions, and allowed your team to bring home a deal.

Highlights of the agreement include:

Term of Agreement
April 01, 2008 to March 31, 2011

Hours of Work – status quo with:

- Premium increase in 12.03 b) to $1.75 per hour
- On-call pay at prevailing corporate per kilometre rate
- Rest between shifts – drivers to be scheduled as per applicable legislation

Meal Allowance:
Breakfast $7.45
Lunch $11.00
Dinner $16.00

Transportation Allowance:
Prevailing corporate rate

Universal Benefits Plan
Letter of Understanding renewed

General Wage Increase

Retroactively, April 01, 2008 3.0%
Retroactively, October 01, 2008 2.5%
Retroactively, April 01, 2009 1.5% April 01, 2010 1.5%

These are some of the highlights of the settlement. The full memorandum of settlement will be presented and recommended by the bargaining team at ratification meetings to be scheduled provincially on October 3rd and October 4th, 2009.
