Notice to all employees of the Art Gallery of Ontario
May 21, 2010 12 noon Please be advised that the Art Gallery of
Ontario employee bargaining team and the employer have agreed to extend the
strike/lockout deadline indefinitely as negotiations continue. Members should
report to work until notified otherwise. Updates to follow as they become available.
OPSEU local 535 members stand in solidarity with their
bargaining team
May 21, 4:00 a.m. Art Gallery of Ontario workers
stood in solidarity outside the AGO late into the night, as the
strike deadline was extended. Negotiations continue.
Members of ACTRA and IATSE took time out from
shooting an episode of CBC television drama series Being Erica on
location at the AGO to stand with the workers. Erin Karpluk, lead
actor of Being Erica, expressed her support.
