District School Board, Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, Ottawa
Catholic School Board, Rainbow District School Board, York Region District

Justice Ross issued an order that a notice program be commenced with regard to
the proposed distribution of the demutualization proceeds.

Campaign against Bill 115
October 15, 2012 We are happy to confirm that over 1,070 cheques have
been issued to current and former members of OPSEU Local 330. There are just
over 400 eligible people that OPSEU is still attempting to locate.

September 22, 2011 OPSEU is pleased to inform all current
and former members of Local 330 who participated in the Simcoe County District
School Board Insurance Trust between January 1, 1977 and September 30, 2006,
that the courts have endorsed the methodology developed to distribute OPSEU's
portion of the surplus from the Trust.

former OPSEU Local 330 members who participated in the Insurance Trust between
January 1, 1977 and September 30, 2006 that the following documents have been
filed with the courts.
June 8, 2011 A major report has been released by People
for Education regarding publicly funded schools in Ontario.
June 8, 2011 The Trust Agreement - the legal document
that governs the Insurance Trust - provided that in the event the Insurance
Trust was terminated OPSEU would be entitled to a 10% stake in the total net

Simcoe County District School Board Insurance Trust for a partial distribution

On behalf of the Boards of Education Sector Executive, I would
like to welcome you to your sector website which we hope will provide you with
information and resources to support your work as members of the sector.
We currently have five units in the sector, consisting of
Educational Assistants, Instructors of English as a Second Language,
Office/Clerical Staff, and Technicians. We share a common commitment of
supporting students with special needs, in Life Skills/Developmental Skills
classes, Career/Learning Centres, Adult Education, ESL and mainstream classroom
settings. As workers within school board settings we know the value of working
as a team, sharing resources and areas of expertise in meeting the needs of the
students we serve.
As a Sector Executive, we have made a commitment to working with
all units, to have our voices heard and to be recognized and valued for the
important work we do. We see like ourselves as a team within OPSEU that has
valuable information to share when it comes to negotiating fair contracts and
addressing issues that are common in our daily working lives.
Please make the commitment to get involved in your sector!
