Public hearings on Bill 77 coming in August

Dates and locations of the public hearings on Bill 77, Services for Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, 2008, have been announced.

The hearings will be held by the legislative Standing Committee on Social Policy.

OPSEU members have applied to make presentations, including OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas, and activists from Developmental Services.

Following are the dates and locations of public hearings:

Information on the Social Policy Committee hearings for Bill 77:

Aug 5. - Toronto Location: Queen's Park, Committee Room 1

Aug. 6 - London Location: Four Points Sheraton, Bristol Room C - 1150 Wellington Road South

Aug. 7 - Timmins Location: Days Inn Timmins, Ball Room A/B - 14 Mount Joy Street South

Aug. 8 - Ottawa Location: Ottawa Marriott, Cartier Room - 100 Kent Street

The hearing sessions are expected to run every day from 9AM to 4PM, with a break for lunch at noon.
