OPSEU demonstration planned for Minister’s Ottawa office Monday
 

July 23, 2007 OPSEU members will rally at Community and Social Services Minister Madeleine Meilleur’s constituency office Monday in support of striking developmental service workers.

Where: 237 Montreal Road, Vanier

When: 2:00 pm, Monday July 23

Two buses of striking workers from the London area will be travelling to Ottawa to participate. OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas is scheduled to speak at the start of the rally (2 p.m).

More than 1,000 workers at four community living agencies in the London area have been on strike for four weeks.
