Aug 4, 2010 Members of OPSEU Local 512 representing 30 workers at Youth Employment Services (YES) in Toronto have rejected a tentative settlement of a one per cent wage increase over two years. Members will be in a legal position to strike at 12:01 a.m., Friday August 6.

where the agency held its Annual General Members meeting.

June 15, 2010 Supportive housing workers held an
information picket at the Ryerson International Living & Learning Centre
where the agency held its Annual General Members meeting. In previous
years, management had welcomed service users and staff to attend. This year
members present asked to attend the AGM and were met by Ryerson security
guards informing them that the employer had instructed that
uninvited guests were not permitted at the meeting.
