September 12, 2007 The seventeen day strike
at York CAS, which began Aug. 27, 2007, has ended. Today the 180 striking
members voted to accept management’s latest offer. All bargaining unit members
will return to work on Sept. 13, 2007.

Tentative agreement in York CAS strike
Sept. 11, 2007 After an
extremely long day of negotiations, negotiators for Local 304
and York CAS were able to reach a tentative settlement at 4 a.m.
today.
The offer will be brought back to
the membership with a recommendation from the negotiating
team. A ratification vote is planned for Wed. Sept. 12 . More
details will follow.
Details of the tentative settlement
will not be shared until the meeting. The unit went on strike
Aug. 27 over workload and other workplace issues.
